Plastic battery box

Just wondering if any have installed a series 24 plastic battery case in their PF to eliminate potential acid corrosion on that corner of the engine bay and if there were any problems making that fit. Thanks.

My '06 still has the stock bat, been in there for 47K+ and still looks brand new. No leaks, no corrosion. Not broke, not going to fix it.

No problema if you live in some of the warmer parts of North America but if working in Alaska or the far north of
Canada we get to change batteries as often as socks.

If the PF battery for some reason does a complete discharge in sub-zero temps it will probably develop a casing
freeze crack and then puke acid all over that corner of the truck.
