any photos showing the parts trimmed?

Does anybody know if this could be wired into one of the factory Nissan switches? say the VDC switch or something (I'd buy an extra one on ebay)

Do you have a link to the amazon item?

Here is the link http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00FWOKKG ... ref=plSrch
I don't have any photos since I installed the led light bar. You can't see anything trimmed once the led light bar is installed.

I'm looking into hooking the wire up to the high beams...so just flick high beams on and LED turns on, then you're not having to hit the high beams and another toggle switch if an oncoming car is approaching.

However, can't find where to tap into the high beams......hmmm

I too thou am hesitant with trimming, can't really go back once you cut it out. Not trying to ask for more, but any chance you can get a close up, during the day with LED off, that would somehow show the trimm job?????

Thanks

Went awol for a bit....that looks good. I'm still looking and contemplating if I want to tackle this project. Probably an easy afternoon project, we'll see.

Looks great, thanks for showing.

Lots of cool ways you can wire it. I wired mine to a factory off road light switch that runs through the brights. It required a few relays to make it work.

You can also run a relay off of the hot cable that powers your high beams. Get a tester, an automotive relay, an inline fuse and some wire taps.

Factory option on your 2008? Either way you have a part number on that switch by any chance?

It's actually a factory switch from the Xterra. Got it from the dealer for like $12. Part number is 21566M.

It's a momentary pulse switch, so you're going to need a few things to make it work, including a standard automotive relay, the DEI 611T relay, wiring, some female crimp connectors and a hot glue gun

The 611T is a relay that turns on and off with a pulse; the other relay is to make the indicator light on the switch turn on when the lights are on.

Let me know if you're interested and I'll dig out a how-to.

I'm not a fan of that aftermarket "Walmart car department" look, which is why I love this switch. It matches the others.

I figured I'd post this bit of info I found when I was searching for the full part number.

25166-ZL00A SWITCH ASSY-OFF ROAD LAMP

Here's a thread on ClubFrontier with a walk through and photo's with some downloadable PDF's.

Cool, that's what I was going to dig out. Let me know if you have questions–though it's pretty straightforward.
