I've had an issue with my TPMS light staying on. I did have one sensor on a tire that was out and had it replaced and programmed twice because of this light. It never has gone out a month after doing all of this.

I had a code reader attached and it came up with C1163 (Steering Angle Sensor Circuit). What does all this mean? I did a search and had seen that there was a service bulletin from 2008, but reading all of it is like me trying to read Greek.

So almighty Nissan experts, what do I need to do because the light is causing my OCD to go full throttle.

BTW: I have a 2008 S 4.0 if that is needed information.

There is a sensor that determines the steering wheel position, which is used as an input for the vehicle dynamic control system. It often shows up when the battery is disconnected and will often turn off after driving a little bit, but in some cases, the position will need to be relearned using a capable scan tool. It also may need to be relearned after a wheel alignment. If the steering wheel is straight and the battery wasn't recently disconnected, then it's possible you may have an other issue, such as a bad sensor, and it will need to be diagnosed per the procedure for your code listed in the factory service manual.

No wheel alignment had been done, in fact I did have some front end work done namely new tie rod ends and lower ball joints. I thought it was my tire sensor but had that replaced and programmed. I'm going to assume it's the sensor.

If you had tie rods and ball joints replaced, you likely changed the alignment which is why the code was triggered. Get a wheel alignment and then relearn the steering wheel position. Any time you get steering components replaced, you should do an alignment (counting threads and/ or "eyeballing it" just doesn't cut it).
