Fog light install 2006 SE Pathfinder.

Postby jrobers » Sat Dec 26, 2015 5:57 pm

So I went ahead and ordered parts to add fog lights to my 2006 SE. The stalk came from Rockauto and went in perfectly. I ordered the lights and brackets from Amazon. The brackets don't seem to line up. They are off by a quarter inch or so. The lights work and are in place good enough. Could this be because the lights were only 29$ total for both. If I spend more would I get a better bracket? Also the bulbs don't really lock into place. Any suggestions for a better set of OEM lights that are less than 100$? I've read every post on here, but nobody seems to have an issue with the light mounting brackets. Any help on finding a better bracket would be awesome.

I got them in, but the only parts of the bracket that match up is the top screw, and the "tough to get to" plastic screw. They work perfect, but there isn't much holding the bottom to the bumper. So there may be a little wiggle in there. If they break or don't project onto the road good enough, I'll spend a little more money on a better set. I also swapped out my interior lights for white LED lights from Superbrightleds.com. they looks pretty snazzy.

As far as matching to the opening in the bumper, the factory fog lamps weren't all that perfect, either.
