Roof Rack Cross Bars Needed, help!

Postby DOKE » Mon Jun 17, 2013 1:34 pm

New member, just got my first Pathy last week (2010 Pathfinder SE). My family has had a few of them over the years but this is my first.

Before anyone asks, yes I used the search function. The existing threads on this topic are out-dated and the companies that sell OEM style cross rails for the 2010 Pathy are mostly out of stock. I need the OEM style ones, they don't have to be actual Nissan Parts. Anyone know where I can get them?

I would look at a local junk yard or salvage yard. If the local one doesn't have them, see if they can refer you to a yard that deals with Nissan. I worked at a yard in while I was in college. They used a system called Hollander (not sure if it still exists or was regional) but it would allow them to search the stock of other yards. The downside is that the other yards had to be good about keeping inventory updated in the system.

If you have a local pick-n-pull type lot, that would be even cheaper.

Thanks. I bit the bullet and ordered them from the local dealership. I'm under a time constraint.

On a side note...the dealership special ordered the parts for me and got them in the day before I was supposed to leave for vacation. I went to assemble the cross bars and realized that I had 3 lefts and 1 right side bracket. I called the dealership back and they couldn't care less. I asked to speak to the manager and he said he would call me back. I explained the time crunch to him and he said no problem I'll call you right back. Guess what? Never did. So I looked up their inventory online, found a 2010 with the cross rails in their used inventory, grabbed my tools and headed up to the dealership. When I got there, I explained the problem for the 4th time and they said they would order a new one. I asked for one off their used vehicle and they said they didn't have one. I called my wife and told her I might be getting arrested and proceeded to climb up on one of their used vehicles to remove the bracket myself. The dickbag manager finally shows his face and says he will have a service tech take it off for me and I should be thankful. I said for what? You guys screwed up and now I have to settle for a used part? Assholes.

Sorry for the long post, just wanted to vent about the situation.
