You can read diagnostic codes using this manual I posted here: http://www.thenissanpath.com/viewtopic.php?t=11419 Go to "ENGINE" --> "Engine Control System", page EC-994 and there you'll find how to switch to diagnostic mode. Then read Engine Check light blinking sequence. As it ...

Crappy front towing hook?

Hi, few days ago my Pathy was soaked by swampy meadow just deep enough to sit on wet grass in front, while back had barely an inch of ground clearance. With my road winter tires I had no chance, of course. When we hooked it to tractor and pulled in driving direction, front towing hook simply snapped...

Hiya, well, as you guess correctly, English is not my native language, so I probably did not accent real problem, but instead described the principles on how I assume why it is LSD and not just ABLS. So, the problem is not about tires squeeking in 4-HI or 4-LO modes on asphalt (which I am quite awar...

Actually, listed mods are on my list and are in realization, so all are done, except ATF change, as I am still waiting the missing 4 liters of ATF to come :) So, I am not sure what's actually inside at the moment, but since previous owner warned me to use only Nissan OEM Matic-J/S fluid, I guess tha...

Straight torque converter coupling in 4HI and 4LO positions

Hi guyz, I have bought 2006 R51 Pathfinder and I've already begun with some mods. Started with engine cleaning/decarbonizing (with some taps off water), MAF cleaning, ATF fluid full change (draining + circulating until fresh = 14 litres of new ATF instead of 10) and finally EGR disabling (by pulling...

ARB air lockers are far the best and despite of their price, still the cheapest option for 100% lock. Although I must admit, that my 2006 Pathy in 4Hi and 4Lo already has so much lock by default, that I quit searching for better option. I am not sure whether it is so good LSD or is it a malfunction,...

From Service Manual:

Possible cause (P0057):
- Harness or connectors (The heated oxygen sensor 2 heater circuit is
open or shorted.)
- Heater oxygen sensor 2 heater

You can also check in Service Manual, which I released to the public here:

Hi,

is it petrol or diesel engine?
Left hand steering or right-hand?
On which side inside machine is it located - looking from the front, is it left or right side?

Actually, I requested money back, because I do not have confidence in the product anymore. I went to local chip tuning workshop and guyz told me, they can reprogram my ECU with all proper variables, taking into account every aspect of how machine works. This would include proper cleaning and adjusti...

Automatic transmission clutch slipping?

Hi, Maybe my question would seem dumb to most R51 owners, but better ask than sorry :) Well, this is the first time I own such a huge vehicle with automatic transmission and it feels quite weird to me. In short - it looks like all time slipping a bit, especially when I gas it a bit more. For example...

I call it "Prepare for running" parking style  and, of course, I park in reverse always.

Yes, you were right!
Tuning box caused most of those malfunctions, though I am not sure about those clutch and line pressure errors.
Cleared ECM, will drive for a day or two and then check for diagnostic codes again.

Thanx for advice!

I've just took advantage of excellent Electronic Service Manual and got diagnostic codes from my vehicle about 4WD system: 11 Clutch pressure switch - Improper signal is input due to open or short circuit. - Malfunction occurs in clutch pressure switch or hydraulic circuit. 12 Line pressure switch -...

If you are asking about actually changing mode while driving in reverse, the answer is NO (...or at least NOT recommended), because while changing to 4LO vehicle needs to be stopped, shifter in P or Neutral position and brake pedal depressed. But if you are asking to drive in reverse, answer is YES,...

Hi,
I just faced the similar issue, but I dunno, if my ChipTuning is guilty or not. Here: http://www.thenissanpath.com/viewtopic.php?t=11417
Will do some diagnostics reading and report back.
