Re: Front CV Axle Replacement

Once I removed the driver side CV axle I found it did have the same flange, only rusty. Been driving with that one on for at least 3 years so should be fine.

Front CV Axle Replacement

New CV axles come with a flange that is not on the old ones. Also replacing the front wheel bearings
The flange doesn't contact anything but I want to be sure it was okay to leave it on or not.

Re: V8 Tap tap

I will try the Sea Foam as a hopefully easy fix. If it is an exhaust manifold leak I happen to have replacements on the shelf.

V8 Tap tap

Hello my 2008 Pathfinder LE V8 is tapping under load . No such noise while idling or cruising just under acceleration. Has 125k miles on it and since I am replacing my radiator this weekend was wondering if there is something I could look for while I have everything taken apart.

Re: Headers for V8

I still can't find an exhaust shop to install my headers. I have the same tubular JBA ones and a magnaflow muffler. Just need someone to do the install and plumbing. First will be a new radiator and rear wheel bearings. Hopefully I can finish it all and get it undercoated by salty winter.

Re: B25 Silverton Blue

This code is also on my Pathfinder. Shopping for touch up paint shows the Granite Metallic, Green Blue Pearl, and Silverton Blue.

Just going to slowly paint this thing with black undercoat all over starting with those rain gutters.

Re: Headers for V8

May be a bit as I have more pressing issues with the alignment.

Re: Old girl suspension woes

Months later and still have rear alignment issues? Genuine Nissan coil buckets and Moog coils, my alignment done myself with toe maxed is still 1.5 degrees. Considering having a frame shop weld on new tabs to add a bit of adjustment, the thing isn't even lifted yet. Replacing lower and upper control ...

Headers for V8

During my research I found that a common problem with the V8 in the Pathfinder and Titan is cracked exhaust manifolds. Since I didn't want the trouble of long tube JBA headers to minimize the risks I bought a cheaper set of Pacesetter tubular replacement headers from Carid. Come to find out my ...

Re: Rear hatch stuck?

It is the hatch, the glass works fine except I still need to install the lift cylinders I bought.

I have the hatch inner trim off already and can get to the mechanism. Hard to see the backside where the lock is but it looks like everything moves bit the hook for the latch. I don't want to break it ...

Rear hatch stuck?

Rear hatch will not open and it is an issue.

Unlocking the doors there is no sound back there but the glass unlocking. The manual release doesn't release the hatch either. When the open button is pushed the cinch motor does run a bit and the mechanism moves but the hatch still won't open. I have a ...

Re: Old girl suspension woes

Today replaced the coil buckets with the genuine Nissan parts and bolted them in place for max toe adjustment from the beginning. Wheels look straight, and it drives straight. Used the correct toe adjustment bolt, which looks like the one the shop used but shorter, they used the extra bolts for ...

Re: Old girl suspension woes

This is what the holes that the coil buckets toe adjustment bolts go thru. That is the side where the nut is, like that on both sides. Removed both coil buckets to replace the Mevotechs with genuine Nissan parts just in case. If these holes are mangled beyond usefulness, can they be repaired or does ...
