Re: Nissan Fluids Or Aftermarket

Hi All, So, I forgot that I had a gallon of Lucas full synthetic GL-5 75w90 unopened in the garage (forgot what I bought it for but I have it already). I will just give it a mix in case the additives settled and then use it for the front and rear diffs. I also bought these in bulk which look like th...

Re: Nissan Fluids Or Aftermarket

Addon question on fluids. It looks like the vast majority of gear oils include LS additives. But I am fairly certain I do not have a limited slip. So, ... should I avoid fluids with LS additives, or it doesn't matter. Here are two examples of what appear to me to be the same but for the LS additives...

Nissan Fluids Or Aftermarket

Hi All, I don't feel like going to the dealer for fluid changes. I am prepping to change the front and rear diffs. the transfer case, probably the transmission, and power steering fluids. Wondering what people's thoughts on these fluids are. Should I go out of my way to get Nissan specific fluids or...

Limited Slip Code

Hi All,

Did anyone ever crack the limited slip code for the pathfinders? Wondering if there is a limited slip I could install with a lower budget then a locker.

Re: Windshield Washer Nozzles

Is your existing washer cracked or anything? I had this problem on my daughters car and I removed the water line and pushed air through it in both directions and voila wayyy better spray. Turns out she had a dead mouse that had fallen into her reservoir as the cap was lost on her car. So I pulled t...

Re: Anyone running a ram air intake?

How would a k&n filter help with the corrosion, at least the cellulose ones will absorb some moisture, but an oiled filter will just .... well not absorb the water.

Re: Anyone running a ram air intake?

Maybe this is a dumb question, what happens when its raining. Wouldn't that force water into your airbox?

Re: Pre-lift advice please

I am not an old hat when it comes to lifts, but here are my two cents (and some change). Sometimes spacer lifts can cause the ride to become rather uncomfortable. This is because your shocks are not lengthened by the spacer lift. While I do not think that this should have much effect in the front si...

Re: Thinga-Ma-Jigger Update

Hi All, Still waiting on news about my sliders. Who knows when or if that will happen. But I haven't been charged yet. On a different note. I purchased recovery points for the front of the pathfinder (using a hitch mounted one for the back). In particular, I rolled the dice here and tried the follow...

Re: Windshield Washer Nozzles

Hi All, I order those part numbers provided from courtesy nissan and provided my vin. They appear to have sent me those part numbers and i can now confirm that they do fit my 2007 pathfinder with nozzles in the cowel... cow-el. coule cowl... the plastic cover at the bottom of the windshield. The one...

Not sure why this showed up on my youtube (big brother is watching). but this is an interesting test on air filters. More of a type comparison though.

Re: What are some of the better airfilters?

Can't say I know any specific brand, didn't pay enough attention. But I have definitely seen ones with far fewer and far more pleats. To me, the more pleats the better.

Off Road Performance Comparison

Hi All, what do you think of this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NyslBICupXU&list=WL&index=9 It looks to me like the 4Runner has a lift on it. The Nissan looks like it suffers due to poor articulation. and is screaming for a locker or at least a limited slip not sure if the limited would c...
