I also have an 05 Pathfinder. When my fuel level sensor went out I checked with Nissan there was not a recall for 05 models, only 06 and up. Dealer quoted me $400-something to replace the sensor. I bought the sensor and replaced it myself for about $120. Fast forward several months and I get a lette...

I had several repairs within the first year of owning the pathfinder but since then it's been trouble free. It had 41k miles when I purchased it and now it's at 80k. I have an 05 and have not done the transmission cooler bypass yet but no issues so far.

I just paid $3 for a pcv valve at Advance for my other car (a Hyundai). $16 sounds steep. Check with the dealer or other part stores.

Before you purchase the parts check with nissan to see if your pathfinder is covered by the fuel level sensor recall. If not, keep your receipts in case the recall is extended to your vehicle.

Same with mine too. There is a service bulletin for this issue. Mine was replaced under warranty.

You seem to be having the same symptoms I had when I had issues with my IPDM. Mine would only crank sometimes and when it did it idled very rough. How does your car run after you swapped the relays? I was able to find an exact replacement ECM relay from a member of a Titan forum. It seems my issue w...

has anyone found a larger filter that will fit on the R51? When i bought my first one back in March I was like "O Shit, this thing is tiny" the filter on my wife's old honda 4 cyl was bigger than the original size R51 filter and the filter on my 3.0 V6 is way larger. I would like to find ...

Update on my IPDM/ECM relay: As previously mentioned, it is impossible to purchase just the ECM relay...from Nissan. I searched online for the relay part number. This exact relay can be purchased from an online electronics website but only in quantities of 50 or greater. But, titan owners have the s...

I did jack up the rear of the car and remove the driver side rear tire. I believe it was about $120 for the sending unit and o-ring from my local dealer. You can get it for cheaper online at courtesy nissan parts. There is a sitcky on this forum called "Service and other nissan manuals". T...

Before I replaced the sending unit, I reset the error code with a code reader but the check engine light eventually kept coming back.

After I replaced the unit, I did not get a check engine light or have to reset any error codes.

New pathfinder owner and forum member

Well, I've had my pathfinder for a while now but I thought i'd say hello and give some info. I purchased an 05 SE model with a little over 40k miles at the time. The is my first Nissan vehicle and having owned two different jeeps prior, I am very pleased with the pathfinder. I like the extra space a...

Thanks for your input. Like I said, at this time, I am not convinced that the ipdm itself is faulty. If it continues to damage relays or if replacing the relay no longer fixes my problem then yes, I will replace the ipdm. Has anyone replaced (or swapped) just a single relay on their ipdm? If Nissan ...
