My crankshaft position sensor just went out in my 2005 patfinder. $20 self fix. The next day the oil pressure sensor went out. I had to take it into the stealership because I was not sure at the time. $300 fix for a $40 part online. They charged me $120 for it. I was pissed.

I'm in San Diego also :D Where did you friend take his Xterra? I figured that it is a known issue because the dealership rep had examples of the worn out parts in her desk. How convenient!

I'm going to call Nissan Assist tomorrow. I never had a new car with so many problems.

Timing Chain Questions

I just took in my 05 Pathfinder to the local dealership to have them replace the catalytic converter that went bad. Thankfully it was covered under warranty. I guess I would have been hit with $2500. I'm at 71k miles. They also told me that my engine was making a whining noise and said it was the ti...

I just got the P0430 code. Bad Catalytic Converter Bank 2. The dealership replaced the CAT. I only have 71k on my '05 Pathy so the $2500 charge was covered under warranty.

2005 Pathfinder Roof Paint Peeling Already :( What to do?

I have a 2005 Pathfinder that has always been garaged and detailed. High quality wax and detailing done at least twice a year. It only has 69k miles on it. I'm the original owner. I just notice that on the left rear roof just left of the roof rack that the paint is peeling off and exposing the prime...

I bought the 3.5mm jack and just soldered wires to it. From there I just wired it with wire nuts to the modified harness.

I would buy the RCA part mentioned at the beginning of the thread and place the 3.5mm somewhere convenient. I placed mine by the lighter sockets. Looks professional and out of the way.

LoL. You made me get off the couch to go to the garage to double check. Glad to do it. I would want my question answered quickly also. Internet karma. :)

Mine has the button that says CD/rear AV. You should be good to go.

I put my 3.5mm jack next to the cigarette lighters.

Start by checking 10A fuse #20 in the fuse block. If you have power across the fuse, then check for power to the brake switch at the red/black wire. When you depress the brake pedal, you should have power at the yellow wire when back-probing the brake switch harness connector. If not, check the swi...

Thanks for the trailer light connection reminder. I now remember. However, I don't remember getting any power there unless the blinker was being used. Are the blinker lights on a different fuse?

From the picture above can any body tell me the exact Fuse for the brake light fuse to check?

Thanks. Could you clarify exactly which fuse is #20. They are not numbered on the back of the cover. Of course there is nothing labeled as "brake light" :(

Here is a picture of the fuse cover.
