Yeah, I was doing the AUX input mod, as well as trying the Nav bypass switch mod.

I just did this mod too, and I can confirm it works great. I previously had a PAC audio aux adapter and it worked but with a lot of background hiss which I was unable to get rid of. This method has perfect audio with no noise at all. Awesome!

Never mind, I fixed it. I followed the procedure to enter diagnostic mode on page 37 of the SRS section of the service manual which, upon finding no fault, cleared the indicator light.
