2001 Pathfinder SE Window issue

Postby brht27 » Thu Mar 12, 2015 9:06 pm

I have had this truck for a couple years and have not really had any majors issues with it until recently. The front Diver-side window will not stay up when using the auto up function on the control panel. It goes up all the way then goes back down about 4 or 5 inches. The only way I can get the window to stay closed is to inch it up very slowly and be careful not to inch too many times or it will go back down again.

Just want to know if anyone else has ran into this odd ball issue and were able to repair with out replacing the panel. I find they aren't terribly easy to replace if I want new.

I first suspected the window motor/regulator being faulty, but after replacing those, the same issue still takes place which is why I am now suspecting the panel itself is the issue.

Any and all help is appreciated.

Sounds like you have anti-pinch windows. If so, you need to relearn the setting using the button on the power window motor. Here's a thread on the relearn procedure:

Sweet! Worked like a charm. That's why I like these forums. Also, I figured out that the panel does not need to come fully off. The reset button is accessible just by taking the master window switch off, its right behind there.

Thanks!
