Did your first tranny fail even after the by pass was done? And if so, was it the same failure (mixed fluids) as all or most others?kneehurts wrote:2008 LE 4wd 103k. I've been having torque converter drop out the last couple thousand miles. Does this mean my tranny is going soon? For those that don't know drop out is when you are driving along in any gear and let off the gas rpms rapidly drop to idle and the tranny bucks a bit when you hit the gas again. I bypassed and replaced my radiator a few thousand miles ago. When I bypassed the original radiator before it failed I only had a little tranny fluid leak.
It's still on the original transmission. Tranny fluid was changed by nissan dealer at 90k. I recently changed out the radiator when the original started leaking from every seam. Luckily I completed the bypass last winter.NmexMAX wrote:Did your first tranny fail even after the by pass was done? That's terrible.
