Do tell. What did you install?Already have the modern LED projector foglights and they are worlds better.
Yes - the same 8mm hex nut for vertical alignment that's present on the OEM assembly. Left/right is fixed but it's straight as-is. They were very close to perfect right out of the box though, I only had to raise the left one a tiny bit.
Can you share which products you chose to apply for these steps? Going to spring for these same lights. ThanksShipFixer wrote: ↑Mon Apr 01, 2024 9:35 pmHere comes my next upgrade, courtesy of HIDprojectors.com . I wanted to retain a stock look next to the new OEM grill, etc. Going to stuff some extra butyl rubber around the seals and put some protective film on first, but excited to get these on. What a great setup! How often do you reapply GTechniq EXO v5 to maintain its effectiveness, especially with prolonged exposure to outdoor sunlight?ShipFixer wrote: ↑Thu Apr 03, 2025 11:05 pm@Zen_master I used Morimoto RetroRubber OEM grade sealant to add an extra layer of rubber over the seam between the lens and housing. I didn't heat it up or anything, I just pulled and stretched the rubber along the seam and pushed it into the gap as a "just in case" layer. Have done this on a number of different housings and have never had moisture intrusion, these have been no different.

For UV and chemical protection, I use GTechniq products. First layer has to be their ceramic coating for glass and plastic, G5:

On top of that, I put a layer of their EXO v5, an organic hydrophobic layer that in the latest version has some UV protection as well:

The v5 has lasted a lot longer than v4 did, which is as-advertised So far so good, my truck has been living outside since August and the lights remain both haze and moisture free.
