Upper glove box door

2005-original owner-The latch on my upper glove box has been broken for quite some time and I just kept it closed for a long time…well my lovely daughter opened it, I tried to get it reclosed and of course snapped some plastic near the latch. What are people doing with this? Is it easy to swap out the top door if I can find a cheap one?

If I recall correctly the "cover" is just the fascia. The latch is part of the inner door, which has a rod-and-torsion-spring hinge that's not meant for disassembly. So if the latch is busted, you'll want the whole upper box assembly and not just the lid. That isn't hard to change out, you remove the lower box and then I think the upper is just two screws. There are only two variants, 68247-9CH0C (graphite) and 68247-ZP00A (café latte), they're both still available from Nissan but pricey. However, they fit '05~'12, so if you search "68247 pathfinder glove box" on eBay, you'll get a lot of hits for good used ones.
