2 plugs hanging behind fuse box?

Postby echoentertain » Sat Feb 14, 2015 3:20 pm

1995 Pathfinder. There are 2 plugs/harnesses hanging behind the fuse box below steering wheel. They are not connected to anything. Any idea what they are for? Thank you[/img]

Their test connectors. I forget what the smaller, white one is for, but the larger connector is for the Kent-Moore "checker box." The checker box allows one to read the ECM codes and switch between modes without having to remove the passenger seat to see the green and red LEDs or mess with the mode switch or mode screw. They were used in the Hardbodies and Pathfinders through 95 and earlier OBD I Nissan models.
