Sorry for the very belated post, and thanks for the nice words! I'll address your comments/questions in turn:C wrote:Thanks alot for the reply, dcommoncents! I just checked out your previous posts to make sure I didn't miss anything before replying back... Lots of good stuff. Your truck looks great, by the way!
About how many miles do you have on the lift?
Did you do your Airlift 1000 install before or after the lift? Would there be any disadvantage to doing the Airlift install before the Rancho lift? (Not sure if it would make placing the spring spacers more difficult, etc.)
Also, I really like the way you did the L bracket to the body to hold the Airlift valves, and the location you chose, too.
I definitely like the idea of a remote control as well for the same reasons. I read that Rancho discontinued the MyRide, though. Not sure if there are other options out there, though???
Those SPC upper A arms are really sweet. Extra travel and easier alignment- awesome! Not sure if they're in the budget right now, but they sound like a great idea, so I may have to make some more room in the budget, lol. Hadn't been considering anything like that up to this point.
So you just changed shocks and added the spacers? You don't change springs at all ? I haven't done much research yet but that looks like a pretty good deal on lifting the truck up a little. I need new shocks anywaymy_kris2ffer wrote:Model year- R51 2010 LE V6 4.0L

Type of lift: Suspension Lift
Brand: Old Man EMU (OME), medium springs and Nitrocharger Sport shocks at all four corners.
How's the ride compared to stock: Ride is slightly more firm. There is less sway around corners with the stiffer springs, in spite of the added height. Update: After a week of running crappy roads including lots of washboard, washouts, highspeed bumpy freeways I am more than impressed with OME. Good bye Monotubes forever.
How long have you had the lift installed: 1 Day
If you had to do it again would you change anything? No, the OME is perfect. I had a shop install and perform the alignment. Total cost was 504.00 for the installation and alignment.
Problems you ran into: No issues. I did not have the alignment issues, front or rear, as indicated by other users.
What brand/size rims/tires you're using: 17" stock wheels with Bridgestone EVO 2's. 265/70/17. Will change to All Terrains 285/70/17, either Pro Comps or BFG's. I bought the Bridgestone when I was doing a lot of freeway commuting.
