This one is an LE rim and 4WD.. so thats very desirable (leather + sunroof, plus Bose steroe plus transfer case with the "auto" option added).. the miles are a bit high.. but the price is right and if the CARFAX shows decent maintenance records..

Also a year were u need to check under the radiator for SMOD (not the end of the world having to look for it, just be aware)

This one is an 11 (no worry about SMOD).. and at Nissan dealer so thats good.
A major franchised dealer will usually keep the best cars for their own lot and the others go to auction for the small dealers.

On the high end what u wanted to pay.
If u can pay 9500 you can buy the sweet V8 that is (or was?) FS on here.

Thank you so much for pulling all those info. I'm going to ride down the street to take a look at the black 4wd R51 in Merriam during lunch time and check it out.

Researched the ebay dealer for the 2003 R50 and there were some negative yelp reviews, so might stray away from it lol

I found a 2003 R50 for a great price. Looks very clean. It is a Virginia. wonder if there is a reputable dealer that can help inspect the car for me. Maybe a reputable forum member from the area might be willing to help? I can definitely pay for the help.

Hey guys, just got the inspection report back on the 03 pathfinder. What do you guys think? Can I fix most of these on my own?

Best to wait for SMJ to chime in. Smile

Also we can only see part of the report

I don't know if it's a great price unless they are offering it to you at a discount of the listed price. NADA has a clean retail value of $4775 and clean trade value of $2925, so, there should be some room to negotiate.

As far as whether you can fix the repairs mentioned, I can't answer that. I don't know your accessibility to the required tools nor your experience nor mechanical and physical capabilities. Most of the items are pretty basic DIY'er repairs and shouldn't be too expensive as far as parts. Drive belts and license plate lamp bulb replacement are basic tasks. Auto trans pan gasket replacement, if needed, isn't too difficult. The spare tire leak could be a bad valve stem or dry rotted tire...or even a nail from a past incident...but, any place that does tire repairs or replacements can handle that. For front struts, I'd go with a pair of Monroe Quick-struts from Rockauto, which is something most DIYers can handle and you won't have to worry about compressing coil springs. Battery replacement is usually free at most places with the purchase of a battery; I'd get a Walmart Everstart Maxx for a good battery at a good price + good warranty. The P0327 code is a past code and may not be relevant now. Some of the repairs listed are vague, such as the "oil on A/C line," the P/S leak and "possible" rear main seal leak. Is it A/C oil or engine oil on the A/C line? It doesn't say. Is the P/S hose, line or reservoir leaking? It doesn't say. Is the rear main seal actually leaking? It doesn't say and we may not be able to know unless the transmission is removed. So, there's some more diagnostic work to do. The biggest repair would be the rear main seal, but P/S repairs are usually not too difficult. I would definitely assume the worst for price negotiations sake and either get the dealer to perform those repairs as part of your purchase agreement or give you a substantial price break because of the repairs you'll have to do.

Hey guys! After several weeks, the black on black R50 LE arrived Smile the dealer fixed almost everything. Took about a grand off price tag.

There is a service engine light on and the door ajar light is on constant. Looking to change out the factory struts as suggested.

I found a video of a 2005 xterra strut replacement. Is the R50 fairly similar process?

Thank you all for your help. Im super happy with the pathy so far 😊

Not really. The 2005+ are closer in design to Toyota trucks. Try this video:
