I read an interesting thread on a Titan forum about the Nissan cabin filters. On some early 2003 Nissan vehicles a sticker
was included in the glove box to give instruction of how to clean the PET / Polyethylene terephthalate type filters which
are still used in Nissan vehicles and our current PF's.
Cabin filter cleaning instructions included in a 2003 Murano
2003 Murano cabin filter, size is different but it looks like the same material as the 05+ PF filter
I guess sometime in 2003 or 2004 Nissan decided it was to their advantage to advise vehicle owners to have the dealerships
change the filters rather than let us reuse them.
Here's the link to the Titan thread discussing cleaning the cabin filters, last time I asked at the dealership replacing the cabin
filter was something north of $100, parts and labor;
