Fuel System Cleaning

Postby Jansen7 » Sat Aug 15, 2009 8:55 am

I had a multi-point inspection done and under the category
"Condition of fuel system/throttle body" it was marked for immediate attention.

I spoke with the guy on the phone and he mentioned a fuel cleaner for the gas tank but then also doing something to the fuel system itself. He lost me but said they would disengage the fuel pump so they do some things to the injectors etc. It sounds like I could do this myself.

Does anyone know what this process involves or is it something I need not worry about?

Appreciate any help.

a friend of mine had this done and said it was worth every penny and gained somewhere between 2-5 MPG which is quiet a bit for such a gas guzzler. i think they take the injectors out and clean them to get them to spray perfect again and i think they mess with your valves but im not sure on that part
