The V8s are just more rare so it never got visbility with them.Zen_master wrote: ↑Sat Aug 10, 2024 6:57 pmThought the radiator milkshake issue was solely a V6 problem, no?
Do you happen to know the part # that is/was problematic?silverarrow27 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 11, 2024 12:48 amAs far as I know, it affects v6 and v8s. My 2008 v8 had the factory Nissan radiator with over 220k miles on it that actually survived, but the radiator part # fell under one of the ones that has known to be defective. I swapped it out quickly.
If the repair was done 2011 or later then no worries, but Nissan's initial fixes didn't all work. IIRC there were still some SMOD-possible radiators kicking around until late 2010. So if the repair was in the 2008~2010 timeframe, check the radiator part number anyway to be safe.
new factory transmisison in a new truck!
