Tire Pressure question...

Hello All,

First I need to tell you something about my vehicle

Now I have 1 month Nissan Pathfinder LE 2007 manual transmission.
I'm very happy with it

Now the question. I will buy new tyres General Grabber AT (not AT2).
Dimensions will be 265/65/17 because it is hard to get here 255/65/17 which is original for my vehicle. Soo I will take 265/65/17.

Can you please guys tell me how much pressure should I use in front and rear tyre? It will be loaded with family. Soo 4x of us

Two small children

I will drive mostly on highway and sometimes offroad.

I see that pressure on my vehicle is front 2.4 and back 2.7bar which I think isn't this to low?

no that sounds about right pressure.

But tyre looks like it is not soo high pumped..
But why is front tyre pumped lower that rear?
Becuase vehicle has front an engine and should have tyre more pressure then in rear? Or this is different like in normal cars (limousine)?

ok first of all driving on road and off road are two different settings for pressure.
for onroad, the difference in front and rear is not really noticeable between 2.4 and 2.7

usually they pump more air in the back if u need to load the trunk with stuff, or to accommodate 3-5 people in the back.
if u really really want to get the exact pressure u should be at, try this:

get a blackboard chalk and draw a line across the tyre width. drive for a few meters and notice where the chalk is still on the thread and where its started to disappear.

if its removed at the sides, then its underdeflated,
if its removed at the middle only, then its overinflated

if its worn perfectly evenly from side to side, then ur at exact pressure.

for offroad, it completely depends on the terrain, but sometimes u may need to deflate to 0.7 bar even.

Also I have some question about tyres.

Here in Slovenia we cannot get any tyre:
Bridgestone Dueler D694
Pirelli Scorpion ATR
Kumho Road Venture KL78
Michelin LTX...

Nothing...

I can get only AT tire and that's it new General Grabber AT (not AT2).

Because I already order it

Also here are prices almost the same like on the Tirerack... also I need to count shippment to Slovenia... Soo it will be expensier.
