For Volvite:

I was just looking at the sizing guide for GY Duratracs and pulled up some useful numbers for you.

My tires are listed as a 10.5 x 31.7 inch tire and I still have plenty of room to spare inside my wheel well. In fact, that is the stock tire size for the SE Off-Road spec Pathfinder. The size you are most likely interested in (275/65 R18) is only 0.5 inches wider and 0.4 inches larger in diameter. So it measures 11 x 32.1 inches.

My two cents are... I'd bet you won't have any rubbing at that size. That's clearly no guarantee, but I'd be surprised to hear anything contrary from any forum members using the same wheel/tire size/suspension combination.

Thanks. Yea I've been looking at the tire size comparison. My stock tire with the 18 inch wheels are a 30.5 inch tire. I have seen that the off-road version of the pathfinder came with your tire size, the 31.7. Did they come with stiffer springs, or an increase in tire clearance for the off road edition? I might try them and see if they fit, but being as it's the wife's ride, I really don't want it rubbing. I'll have to take a look.

Nice. What size? I finally found some Frontier rims, 17s that I'll be putting duratracs on for the 31.7 inch tires. Looking forward to that.

WOW!!

Got the Duratracs installed yesterday.. I never actually saw them before they were on the car.. Talk about a tire giving a car some personality! I'm really impressed with their ride quality, too... They're not too rough and don't make nowhere near as much noise as I expected..

I just took mine out for spin up and over Red Cone Pass in Colorado. Helluva trail... they performed very well. Check my full post in the Off Road section. It should be up in a few minutes.

So I have really been enjoying reading the posts on this thread and have been waiting to get my hands on a set of Duratracs for my PF and now that I am in the market for tires I find out that they don't have my size (265/60/18). Is it possible (wise) to try the 275/65/18's or is that gooing to be too big of a risk in rubbing. Any ideas on an alternate choice to fit the 18's?

Those will probably rub. I ran 265/75/16, and they were OK, but the overall diameter of the 275/65/18s you are suggesting would be almost 1/2" bigger than what I had.

That's what I thought. I have done some searching around and I think I have narrowed it down to three choices: the BFG Rugged Terrain T/A's and the Falken Rocky Mountain ATS and the Nitto Crosstek.
I am leaning to the BFG because it is probably going to be a smooth ride yet it does lack the aggressive look of the Falken. Each tire is about the same price and warranty. Any experiences with these tires

My pathfinder came with the 18 inch rims, so I found some 17 inch rims for sale locally and am going to buy the duratracs. I didn't want the possiblity of rubbing, so 31.7 inch goodyear duratracs are what I'm getting.

I bought the Nittos and I am very happy with them. I bought two and got two free with a 4 wheel alignment. I think they look pretty aggressive and the ride is smooth and quiet... I've only clocked about 2000 miles on them but so far so good.

I am looking at these for my 94 Pathfinder (235/75/R15) but goodyear.com and tirerack.com both say they dont fit my truck for some reason. Anyone have any ideas?

Well I finally ordered my set of duratracs. I bought some 17 inch Frontier rims, and ordered my tires from Sears. They matched my auto shop on base for price. They should be here any day now, and I'll go have them installed. Once I do, I'll make sure and post pictures. Thanks IcedTeasley for your good reviews.
