Mine was not because of low coolant levels. I had the dealer burp it for me & my heat is back at idle.
The other issue that is a huge PITA is the fact the Auto climate control sucks. In cold weather the heating system does not work properly. When set at 65 the heat is pouring out....super hot and and roasts me out of the vehicle......I have to turn it down to 60 and then it freezes me out............back up to 65 and I roast.
Oh you poor bastards living in the midwest! I set my temp to 90 in the winter. Once I get up to operating temp & a good interior temp, I turn it down. I personally love the heat, so it doesn't bother me. If I'm on the highway for an hour or more, my hands (on the steering wheel) will freeze in the summer & get scorched in the winter. I prefer having air come out of the front vents, not the floor vents, and I can't seem to get both of my hands away from a vent.
On long trips, I have found the auto climate control works quite well. Even the dual zone is very effective.
