Nice write up; I did almost the same thing with the bracket for the valves. The only suggestion I would make for the next guy is to mount the bracket to the body, instead of the frame which will increase the risk of rusting, like so:

The only downside is that it flexes a little when you hook up a compressor, but it isn't problematic.

I did none of the bracket stuff, just through the bumper, but I have to say the mod definitely falls into the category of "should have done it ages ago". Almost done with a 2500 mile trip with camping gear in back and three bikes on a hitch mount rack. Pumped them up to about 18 psi and it made a heck of a difference. Count another convert.

I just wanted to add my 2 cents. I installed my airbags on Labor Day weekend. Thanks to all the threads on here to help me prepare for the install. I had a friend helping me. We knocked it out in less than an hour. Here's a pic to show where I mounted the valves. Right on the bumper cover




Like everyone says, "I should have done this mod a long time ago." This was two months ago when I was building a deck before I had airbags.

Is there a bumpstop or anything like that that needs to be removed. ie. any rust bolts I am going to have to loosen? Or is it just a matter of folding the bags up sliding them inside the springs, running air lines and inflate?

I just finished installing a Rancho Quicklift on my 2005 with 1-3/4" spacers on top of the stock springs and it is literally 40mm low on the rear compared to the front.

I have had the Pathy for a year now and always noticed it was squatted down. I am loving the new suspension and can't imagine what it will be like with airbags.

I am in Canada and found them on Tdot Performance for about $160... I assume the kit for the stock Pathy will work on my 'lifted' one since all I have done is install a spacer on top of the spring.

There's no bump stop that needs to be removed, but I would clean out any rocks that may be sitting in there before installing the bag though the coils.

Yup 60810 is the kit I installed.

Newbie here with what might be a really stupid question, but could you just get stiffer shocks instead of these airbags?
